Also, is it just me or is the Boston Globe reviewer very, very aware of the slash contingent? I'm not a Kirk/Spock shipper -- never have been. (If I'm going to ship Spock, it's Spock/Uhuru or Spock/McCoy, and Kirk/Enterprise/Universe is really my OT3 for TOS.) But take this quote ("he" is the director):
Above all, he understands the potency and pleasure of the Kirk/Spock relationship.
And then goes on to compare it to Holmes&Watson. It's SO WEIRD to see that paragraph in a newspaper review.
