Also, there should be a law against town names that sound almost but not entirely unlike rhetorical devices. Or possibly it should be required. Driving or biking through Menotomy always makes me wistful, because I always read it as metonomy, part-for-the-whole, and hear my high-school latin teacher drilling us on rhetoric.

With my family, my friends, and the internet full of people going back to school, I miss it more than ever. I have no reason to go back; I have the degrees I want. But I miss it, all the same.

Okay, I should either try to get something done or give up and take the early train home. Hmm.
